Copenhagen. Cool.

COPENHAGEN? Wonderful, clean, charming, fresh.

DANISH STRAWBERRIES? Extra sweet + delicate. (I was told this is due to the cold weather + extra sun)

DANES? Some friendly, most uninterested, all ridiculously, stunningly, breathtakingly beautiful. Like, crazy good looking. The whole lot. 😍. Whoa.

BICYCLES? Everywhere. I was quoted 1.5 for every resident of the city.

WALK? Everywhere. Smaller than I expected, stoked to know you can easily walk to most places you'd want to go to.

HIGHLIGHTS? Front window seat on the metro into the city, my Danish Air BNB's unexpected + uproarious laughter (the digs were also top notch), African expat vibes, loud singalong Icelandic football celebrations in a tight Icelandic pub, 22:00 sunset run, swans, getting caught in the rain at the park, 4:00 sunrise yoga on rooftop, + wandering around the city for hours on end.

NEXT TRIP? Grab a partner in crime + play at the old Tivoli amusement park (I peered in the gates - whimsical + must be a blast with the right person), a picnic with a bottle (Danes seem to drink freely), a visit to Christiania - the once war warehouse turned hippy commune, + meals at acclaimed 'new nordic' restaurants like Verandah, a hyped Danish-Indian spot, and Relae, acclaimed plant-based yums on a beautiful street.

STILL WONDERING... Why did many Danes kinda' stare at my face and hold the stare more than I am used to? Are short skirts and rompers not a thing/ok? (Everyone had good length. But me.) Would more time in Cope reveal more rawness, dirtiness, or depth to this clean and tidy city? Why are there so many Africans in Copenhagen? Would Tivoli truly be as fun as I imagined it would be with Grant?
